Off to Mexico
Oh, the joy of packing. How I dislike you so! I tend to over complicate packing, and even when I strategically shop for outfits prior to a trip, I somehow find myself thinking that I don't have anything to pack when the time comes. And by "the time", I mean the night before a trip when I'm struggling to keep my eyes open.
I'm off to Mexico to spend a few relaxing days with one of my best friends, Courtney. My passport's been dusted off from my nightstand and is ready for another stamp. Our plans are to soak up as much sun as possible, drink good wine, indulge in great food, and to just relax! We might try to fit in some workouts -- It's the thought that counts, right?!
I'm far from the best packer, and I should definitely take tips from other bloggers who plan ahead and organize better than I do when it comes to vacation preparation. Or, maybe I just need to take more vacations and practice my packing. I like that option better!
I tried to stick to casual, light-weight pieces that would make for easy outfits. I have a feeling we'll be spending most of our time in bikinis, so I packed four options, a few cover-ups, and sandals. I kept my outfits fairly casual and chose a couple different rompers, maxi skirts, and a pair of distressed jean shorts. Having ordered countless bodysuits online recently, I decided to pack a handful of those as well to wear with white jeans or jean shorts.
I'm loving this white floral print maxi skirt -- it's light, flowy, and screams vacation to Mexico. I'll probably pair it with a white knotted crop top and some nude wedges.
With intentions of getting some workouts in, I made sure to pack a few workout pieces, including my favorite Lululemon shorts, a couple pairs of black leggings, and some sports bras.
The red dress I'm packing is on the sexier side, so I plan to wear this for a night out. I can't wait to sport this with a tan and a gold body chain! I'm also excited to wear a new white dress that I found at Zara: super casual but looks well put together, flattering, and will make a tan pop.
I'll be sharing photos of the trip and my outfits in my upcoming posts, so stay tuned!
Let me know where you're headed to this summer and if you wait until the last minute to pack!
