How To Banish Acne Scars
I've found that the less I do to my skin the better. Screw spending hundreds of dollars on expensive skincare -- Keep it simple! I suffer from hormonal breakouts, and my skin gets clogged very easily. My routine consists of a gentle cleanser (Cetaphil or Philosophy Purity Made Simple), my DIY Apple Cider Vinegar toner, and moisturizer (Cellex-C Enhancer). I rely on masks and serums to give my skin an occasional boost.
I've been using a few products from Banish Acne Scars which I can't recommend enough. The founder, Daisy, originally created a YouTube channel to review products but found that nothing was working for her acne-prone skin. Banish Acne Scars stood out to me because they focus on Glycolic Acids and AHA+ which are extremely beneficial to the skin when used properly.
Pumpkin Enzyme Mask: ...Amazing. Smells exactly like pumpkin and promotes exfoliation of the skin while treating any active acne. It does sting a little when you first apply it, but it dries into a thin, cooling texture that leaves you feeling refreshed. If only they could send a slice of pumpkin pie with the mask...
Vitamin C Serum: Perfect serum for combination, acne-prone skin. This feels thicker than your typical serum and leaves your skin feeling plump and hydrated. Packed with Vitamins C, E, rosehip oil + Ferulic Acid. Use this immediately after the Microskin Roller (if you have scarring).
Vitamin C Beauty Elixir: I spray this in the morning and during the day if I need a pick-me-up. This awakens your skin and helps heal any scarring or sensitivity with Vitamin C.
I'm using the Pen Stamp Kit since I still have some active acne -- You just stamp it onto the problem areas to spot treat. For scarring, go for the Microskin Roller. Just roll this backwards over your scars a few times. This is their signature tool that really helps improve the look and feel of your skin.
All products can be purchased online at Banish Acne Scars.
