Makeup Must-Haves

The best makeup for a natural look
Hi, my name is Cori, and I am a makeup hoarder.

Ok, ok. I'm not that bad, but let's just say I have a ton of makeup and I've tried it all.  I've found some great drugstore products, but I'm also a sucker for a good high-end item as well.  My go-to look is light, glowing, and slightly bronzed.  I don't like heavy foundation and don't own too many dark lips, so you'll love these picks if you're more of a natural gal.

Here are a few of my favorite products that I tend to reach for:
Cover FX Perfect Pencil and Concealers
Base:

Primer: Cover FX Mattifying Primer or Cover FX Illuminating Primer
Complete opposites here, but these are my favorites for everyday makeup.  If I'm wanting a long-lasting look, I reach for the Mattifying Primer, but if I am going for a J-Lo glow for a night out, I go for Illuminating.

Tinted Moisturizer: Laura Mercier Illuminating -- The best in the game, and probably always will be. I love he Illuminating formula, but if you don't want all the glow, go for the Oil-Free version or the regular Tinted Moisturizer.
Foundation: Becca Aqua Luminous Perfection Foundation -- Gives gorgeous, lightweight coverage and is a great match for my light olive skin.

Concealers: Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, Maybelline Age Rewind, & Cover FX Perfect Pencil -- 3 options here for different uses.  I love the Nars concealer for under the eyes, around the nose, and any dark spots.  The Maybelline Age Rewind is perfect for under eyes and is a favorite by so many women, and it's only around $8.  Cover FX Perfect Pencil is my go-to for cleaning up my brows, defining my lips, and even sharpening my eyeshadow.

Eyes:

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Semi Sweet: I love this palette and it smells like chocolate.  It has a great assortment of matte and shimmer shades that are perfect for an everyday look.

Brows:
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz & Brow Powder Duo: I always come back to these.  I use the Brow Wiz in Dark Brown or Taupe, and I use the Powder in Dark Brown.  The powder is my favorite for a more natural brow, and for a more defined look I'll use the Brow Wiz.

Cheeks:
The best blush and highlight products
Blush: MAC Cream Blush in Lady Blush & Dior Glow Blush -- I like a cream blush for everyday to give me a natural pink color, and I go for the Dior blush for that lit-from-within flush.  The Dior blush is like nothing I've seen and provides the most natural pink color that just looks like you've been drinking your water and eating your greens.

Contour: Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow -- A pricy one, but a great buy if you're looking for a natural shadow and highlight.
Highlight: Laura Mercier Indiscretion & The Balm Mary Loumanizer -- I could have included about 10 products here, but if you're looking for a great highlighter and want to pick one, these 2 are amazing.  Laura Mercier provides a soft, natural highlight that can be built up for a more intense glow.  Mary Loumanizer is one of the most affordable options out there and is just beautiful.

Powder: Laura Mercier Transluscent & Nars All-Day Luminous -- I use Laura Mercier with a Beautyblender to set under my eyes, below my contour, and through my t-zone.  I use the Nars powder to add a little bit of color all over the face if I'm using a powder that day.

Don't sleep on the Beautyblender.  I use this everyday for concealer, foundation, and powder.

Will be doing a few of my favorite looks soon, so stay tuned and make sure to subscribe to my blog to get email updates!
