Gorgeous Lashes at Chic Lash Boutique
Well, well, well! I'm not even going to get into a long intro about how long it's been since I've popped on here -- We all know life happens. I'd just be giving excuses. Let's get to the fun stuff!
If you follow me on
and Snapchat, you know I've been sharing my excitement for getting a lash lift. I'm a big lash girl. I love a good mascara (shoutout to
), and I'm always trying to achieve a big, bright eyed look.
I haven't taken the lash extension plunge for a few reasons. For starters, I like to rub my eyes, wash my face freely, and just don't want the hassle of maneuvering around them. Knowing me, they'd fall out too quickly and wouldn't be worth the cash. Plus, with working out, the sweat can break up the glue, and I just don't have the time, patience, or money to keep up with them. Maybe I'll try them once for fun, but for now...bring on the lash lift!
A lash lift is designed to give your natural lashes a boost, lots of curl, and make your eyes look a bit bigger. I searched through before and afters on Instagram for
hours
and decided I had to try it. It's the perfect treatment to make you feel extra pretty but still natural -- Who doesn't love that?!
I had my lash lift done at
, and I can't say how much I love this place. They popped my brow threading cherry about a year ago, did a fantastic job, and their amazing work carries into their lashes too. Nora hooked me up with some gorgeous lashes.

OK, and I also have to mention how comfortable their beds are. Prepare to take a nap. Seriously. You can't open your eyes during the process, so nap it is.
A few questions that I wanted to cover for any of you who are interested. If you're nervous, have doubts, or just want to hear from someone who's had the lash lift done, look no further:
Is the lash lift really safe for the eyes?
Yup. It's a small amount of product and doesn't stay on your lashes for long.
Does it burn?
Not if you keep your eyes closed like you should be! Take the hour and just relax. If you open your eyes, it will burn. Just keep your eyes closed and don't worry! My eyes didn't burn at all, and I have EXTREMELY sensitive eyes.
Is it safe for contact lens wearers?
Yes! This was one of the first questions I had. You can wear your contacts during the treatment or take them out if you prefer.
Does the lash lift damage your lashes?
No! The perming solution stays on and then a conditioner is applied and brushed through the lashes.
What's the difference between this and a lash curler?
A lash curler will amp up your lashes, but overtime it can cause some breakage. I sometimes have nightmares about ripping my lashes out with a curler and have heard some serious horror stories. The lash lift lasts about 3 months and you won't need a lash curler.
A few other tips/notes I have:
- Don't wear makeup to your appointment! You don't need it -- Just show up with a fresh face, or at least no eye makeup.
- The perming solution does smell a little funky. Kind of like a mix of sunscreen and a hair relaxer.
- Don't wear mascara or get your lashes wet for 8-24 hours after your lash lift.
Hit up
for a lash lift! I have naturally long eyelashes, so the lift helped keep them curled. If you have shorter/straight lashes, this would be
perfect
for you.
And of course, we wanted to make sure to hook you all up.
Mention this post when booking your service and get $5 off your service!
The lash lift will cost you $75 usually at Chic Lash Boutique, so mention my post and knock it down to $70. It'l last you about 3 months, so if you're going for a natural but sexy lash look, it's definitely worth it!
Let me know if you'll be trying it out..and I want to see pictures! I went to the Mid Lane location (ask for Nora), but the Waugh location is amazing too.
